What I love so much about the clean beauty space is the people. Within every balm and bottle of serum is a story. And, as a beauty blogger, I've had the privilege of hearing many of them. Most of my favorite brands started from a need...a need to find something safe for pregnant women, a need to create something healing for those struggling with illnesses, a need to be of service to women who were in treatment.
Much like these stories, Christine- founder of The Good Home Company- had one of her own. You might even call it a mission. As a breast cancer survivor coming from a lineage of cancer survivors, she was all too familiar with radiation and which products could and shouldn't be used. She says, "every October I get angry when they recommend these creams that are covered in chemicals."
So, with that passion fueling her, she created The Recovery Balm.
Also, for every balm sold, $4 is donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in their fight against pediatric cancer. Now that's a mission.
I've been using it religiously on my ankle. I have a patch of discoid eczema there and it often gets inflamed, itchy and rough. The Recovery Balm has done a brilliant job at soothing it and helping it to heal.
You can get The Recovery balm for you or a loved one here.
