A habit that I've been trying to break for a long time now is immediately grabbing my phone right when I wake up. Before my eyes can even adjust, I'm already reading emails, flipping through Bloglovin and checking out the my Instagram feed. I even strategically placed my phone further away from my bed as to not get so easily tempted- fail.
The problem is that I used my phone as my alarm clock and once that baby hits my hand, I'm hooked and can't put it down.
But, the propaganda for not having your phone by your bed (EMF's !!!) and not having it be the first thing you do in the morning (stress anyone?) is very very compelling.
Enter my new Zen Alarm Clock.
Anthony and I LOVE this thing. You can use it as a timer for meditation, yoga and of course...a regular alarm clock.
It wakes you up using the Golden Mean "progressive sequence that gradually awakens you in the morning." You can choose from two different chime tones: B or E (I chose E) and a few different kinds of wood (mine is Bamboo).
Best of all, it's battery operated which means that it gives off a lot less EMF!
