Not so long ago, there was a period of several months (ok almost a year), when I was stressed...like freak the fuck out stressed. I'd never felt so consumed by anxiety before and I "anxiously" looked for anything that might help me chill out.
For those who have anxious tendencies, you understand how scary this feeling is– especially when you let it swirl out of control. Before you realize, you're calm, loving, peaceful self (your true self) is nowhere to be found and what's left is just that monkey mind screaming at the top of it's lungs. Ya feel me? Not fun.
Aromatherapy has helped me a great deal (that and a shit load of meditation). When I feel triggered or an icky feeling coming on, I take a few deep inhales of the Focus and Stress Free and it gently soothes my mind and helps me distance those anxious thoughts (where before, I would go into uncontrollable bouts of swiffering and/or list making).
